Spectral AgriVentures Inc. is a Calgary-based, 100% Canadian owned, for-profit business that is building a new, distributed, fresh food production system in Canada. Our unique supply chain enhances Canadian food security and food safety, creates local economic development, reduces supply chain interruptions, and replaces high carbon intensity imports local, sustainable produce. Participating farming partners invest in, own, and operate their own new-tech greenhouses. Our state-of-the-art hydroponic growing systems use 95% less water than outdoor agriculture. Spectral consolidates the production (the “offtake”) from these farms and, with its wholesale distribution partners Metro 360 and CMMI, sells the produce to mass market retail. By giving local farmers access to Canada’s regional and national grocers, we enable them to build their businesses, and we bring to Canadian consumers higher quality produce.
